Well the place on Little Torch didn't work out but I'm still looking. I fit everything I wanted to take with in the pickup yesterday. I even managed to get my canvas's in there. Maybe not the most practical thing to bring but I will still be painting no matter where I end up and canvas's are expensive. The only furniture I'm bringing is a table to paint on and my adjustable chair. Other then that it's my bike, clothing, art supplies and linens. I'm still not sure if I'm leaving Sunday or Monday, I should know by tomorrow. I wish I had a place nailed down to land at but something will come up between now and when I get there hopefully. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I haven't posted for a while, I've been busy packing. Art supplies are all sorted, edited and what's going with is packed. My studio was the hardest part to pack, so much of me in there. The rest of the house should go quickly, there's not very much of my stuff out there. Well maybe the kitchen will slow me down a little but not much. None of that is going with so it just gets packed, no decisions to make. I am so looking forward to being in a warmer climate again! It's a little scary starting over with nothing, no safety net, but in the long run this will be better for me. I'm sure I'll love the Keys. If you know anyone with a place down there that needs a house sitter or has a spare room or an apartment for rent, let me know. Rent is pretty expensive down there and the closer you get to Key West the higher it goes! Oh but what a place to be an artist, so much color and life! I wish I had a little more cash in my pocket to make the trip but that's part of the adventure. I've sent out a ton of resume's and filled out several applications online, keep your fingers crossed and send good thoughts my way. Heading out camping for a couple of days. I shared a link on my facebook page. It's titled "The Panama Perspective" but read further. It's an awesome article that has nothing to do with Panama but everything to do with life and how you live it. Please read, here's a direct link to the article.
PERSPECTIVE Who ever thought building a cake would be so nerve racking! This is my granddaughters cake for her second birthday. My hands were shaking, my knees were knocking, I had to remind myself it was just a cake. anyhow one end was raspberry filled and the other end was strawberry. It was a cute cake when it was done. Now it's time to get back to work. I'm working on a bull rider photo quilt and am not sure I like how it's coming out. I'll have to play with it a little more. Then back to the jewelry for another round while I wait for another silk shipment. There are big surprises coming in about ten days! Well maybe a little longer. I set up my shop on Etsy.If you have an account there please add it to your favorites. The more favorites I get, the easier my shop can be found. THere is a link at the bottom of this post. http://www.etsy.com/shop/Seawhere2?ref=search_shop_redirect It's been a busy few days, I haven't stopped to take pictures or post. First, my stuff arrived in Georgia, four sales the first day in the shop, Woo Hoo! AND maybe a couple of commissions from the photo memory quilts. Locally I received a commission for one of my little frog paintings. I ordered more canvas's for that one. I'm out of the little 6 X 6 size. Today I wrapped four 6 X 12 canvas's with watercolor paper. Over the last couple of days I worked on a display rack for the earrings, not sure if I like the necklaces on there, I'll play with it. So I have been doing a lot, just haven't managed to get it posted in a timely manner. Oh, I also put in an application for the "Under The Big Sky Holiday Show" up in Missoula. That's a juried show so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Wish me luck. I put the page back up but won't be shipping for a few days, going fishing. Pictures and stories from the show when I get back. I'm on the wrong computer. Have a great week.
You wouldn't think ordering gold wire would be a hard thing to do. My regular supplier is on vacation so I had to try someone else on Ebay. Paypal decided I should not be allowed to pay with my debit card. To make a long story short, it took me two days to get it paid for. I'm off this afternoon to paint with the Rivers Edge group. Yeah, painting practice again! |
